Biography

Edie Glaser is a Southern California writer who has lived with varying degrees of visual impairment throughout her iife. Edie understands that children at every acuity level need more than academic accomodations to be personally, academically, and professionally successful; so she produced the long-overdue All Children Have Different Eyes.

Edie is a graduate of the Master of Professional Writing program at USC and offers freelance non-fiction writing services to organizations and individuals. She is happy to speak at schools, libraries, and special events about being an author, publisher, or living with low vision.

Biography

Maria Burgio was born in Sicily, Italy, raised in Brooklyn, New York, and practiced at her upstate New York clinic for twelve years. She also had a private practice in Los Angeles for four years. Dr. Burgio earned a Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology from New York University She specialized in neuropsychology, child psychology, and psychopharmacology, while teaching at various universities including UCLA School of Medicine, Utica College of Syracuse University and New York University. Dr. Burgio is a graduate of the Master of Professional Writing program at the University of Southern California. Through her non-fiction writing, Dr. Burgio helps parents and society identify what is abnormal in children's behavior and what can be done to help.

Biography

Doina was born, raised, and educated in Romania. She started her artistic career as a drawing animator and established herself as a serious artist in the U.S. by working for prestigious companies, such as DIC Animation Studio, Filmation, and Cabbage Patch Kids, Inc., among many others. For the last ten years, she has dedicated herself almost exclusively to illustrating children's books.
